Zoom Airlines announced today it will begin offering scheduled transatlantic flights to Wales. Starting in May 2005, Zoom Airlines will operate a weekly flight to Cardiff from Toronto. Zoom will be the only airline offering flights to Canada from Cardiff International Airport in summer 2005 and the only low-cost transatlantic airline servicing Canada for the whole of Wales and the West of England. With the addition of Cardiff, Zoom Airlines now serves four UK destinations (London, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff) from eight Canadian cities.

Prices for Zoom Airlines' high quality, full service flights to Cardiff, which include meals, drinks and in-flight entertainment, will start from $199/£89 one way. Zoom Airlines' wide-bodied cabin configuration has increased seat pitch for economy passengers and a premium economy section with even greater pitch creating a superior in-cabin experience ideal for transatlantic flights.

Zoom Airlines CEO Kris Dolinki stated "We are pleased to be introducing Cardiff, to our schedule, further expanding our service offering for Summer 2005. Introducing an additional UK departure airport was essential to cope with the high demand for our transatlantic flights."
