All the Adventure, Minus the Pain, with Tro-tros and Potholes - West Africa: Solo
One woman's hell-raising adventures on a dime and a backpack: the book "Tro-tros and Potholes, West Africa: Solo" is scheduled for release in the U.S. on March 18th. Go to www.zerapress.com for more information.

Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) March 17, 2004 -- Laura Enridge dares to put herself out there, alone in the midst of cultures and places unknown. In "Tro-tros and Potholes - West Africa: Solo" Enridge brings to life her West-African experience in a way that makes the reader feel like they've just been on a round-the-world journey without ever having left an armchair.

In this, her first collection of stories, Enridge describes her spirited adventures traveling through Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Burkina Faso and Togo. Armed with only a backpack, she gets from one place to another using whatever means are available, while meeting a wonderful cast of interesting and candid characters along the way.

Scheduled for U.S. release on March 18th, 2004, "Tro-tros and Potholes" offers a fun and insightful look at the journey of one woman as she travels through lands rich with colour, music, scenery, and most of all, people. A book about taking risks, once you start reading it, you won't want to put it down.

"Her words capture the personal insight into the soul of a culture that comes only through being there. Her travel messages are imagination candy."
-Bill Clendenning, International Tour Guide

"...an extremely intimate, and at many times humourous look into a culture... ."
-The Peak newspaper

Excerpt from Book:
Yesterday's bus ride from Bobo to Ouaga was much more pleasant. About a half hour into it, I was just hitting that relaxed sleepy state when something very alive brushed up against my feet. I started, then bent down into the aisle to look under my seat, and the man behind me said, "Pardon, c'est mon coq."

About the Author:
